Below is a Data Dashboard showing all vendor payments made by the LBPD since 2013, last updated in July 2020. This data was used by CheckLBPD to research our series The Surveillance Architecture of Long Beach. Still, there are many other uses for it.

This data is where CheckLBPD discovered the LBPD spent $96,150 on “Brand Identity” work from former-LBPD officer and new City Councilmember Cindy Allen’s company, ETA Advertising. Interestingly, this amount is greater than what the LBPD would have spent on the Operations and Management Study from the International Association of Chiefs of Police—assuming the LBPD had not ended the study without making the final payments. The LBPD unsuccessfully fought to keep the draft report secret.

There are undoubtedly many other discoveries to be made in this data. If the chart won’t load on this page you may need to allow third-party cookies for this site to allow the google data studio integration.
